Who we are, what we do, where and how never compare to why... May 11, 2018 Hi, Jeff and Carol Anne. I hope you and your family are doing well. We had the once-a-year, all praise and worship chapel this morning at Hickory Christian Academy and I thought you would love to see Hickory Arts so well represented. I'm glad lessons are going well for Emma, and Luke said he really enjoyed meeting with you and is looking forward to lessons. I haven't thanked you lately, but we are so grateful for the support you have given to our family over the years. Caroline had another very successful year with Corey. Caroline was offered voice scholarships at UNC, UNCC and Furman. She ultimately decided to attend UNC Chapel Hill to pursue a BA in Vocal Music Performance and to complete their pre-med track. In March, she placed 3rd in the Schmidt Vocal Competition (winning $1,500) and she made it to the second round of NATS Regionals. In April, she won the Edna Bost Barringer Young Artist Award (will receive it on May 22nd) and she was selected as a finalist for the Mary Doctor Performing Arts Scholarship. She didn't win it, but she was extremely honored to make it to the final round. You, Carol Anne and Hickory Arts have always been there to help with anything Caroline (or Cassidy) has needed and we value your partnership in raising up Caroline and preparing her for a lifetime of loving the arts.
