Jackson Sigmon: Experienced Bass Instructor at Hickory Arts
Jackson Sigmon studied at Elon University, University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and Lenoir-Rhyne University and is available for Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Bass Lessons at Hickory Arts.
Early Musical Journey and Education
Jackson Sigmon has been playing bass since the age of twelve and came up through the Hickory Public Schools Music Program. While there, he served as the principal bass player in the Western Piedmont Youth Symphony and started playing musical theatre shows. Upon graduating, he studied at Elon University, the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, studying bass performance, and is now finishing up his degree at Lenoir-Rhyne University.
Teaching Philosophy
Sigmon has had the opportunity to play a wide variety of different genres. He believes in cultivating a learning environment that is relaxing and fun to get the prospective student excited about playing one of the most versatile instruments out there. Jackson aims to help create a well-rounded performer who is hireable and able to play all kinds of music.
Diverse Performance Experience
He has performed in college orchestras, musical theatre, and jazz. Credits include; UNCC Symphonic Orchestra, UNCC Philharmonia, Phantom of the Opera, Ragtime, Something Rotten! and many more. He is hopeful he will inspire a new era of young musicians while having fun! After all, that is what music is all about.
