Corey Raquel Lovelace: Accomplished Lyric Soprano and Vocal Instructor
Lyric Soprano Corey Raquel Lovelace completed her Master’s in Vocal Performance at DePaul University. Prior to this, she earned her undergraduate degree at North Park University in Chicago, IL. Now, Corey offers Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Voice Lessons at Hickory Arts. With extensive experience in both performance and education, she is eager to share her expertise with students of all levels.
A Versatile Performer with Global Experience
Originally from Chicago, Corey Lovelace has since made Morganton, NC her home. This season, she will return to the concert stage, premiering new works by Ukrainian composer Sophia Pavlenko. Not long ago, she starred in the title role of Susannah and covered the title role in Adriana Lecouvreur. Additionally, Corey has performed as Mimì in La Bohème and Musetta in La Bohème. She also made her company debut with Opera Carolina. Furthermore, she had the honor of joining Andrea Bocelli as a guest artist during his Valentine’s US Tour in 2020, which was a career highlight.
Internationally, Corey has performed in China at the iSING! Music Festival and made her European debut in Graz, Austria, with the American Institute of Musical Studies. Her wide-ranging performance experiences have greatly expanded her operatic repertoire and enriched her understanding of diverse musical styles.

Moreover, using classical technique and musicianship as her foundation, Corey ensures students develop healthy vocal habits that apply to all singing styles.
