Junk Cast Album (Sneak Peek)
The Original Cast of Junk recently hit the studio to record 13 songs for the soundtrack from the Bass/Hartman musical comedy that premiered with a sold-out run in The Firemen’s Kitchen at Hickory Theatre. Directed by Pamela Livingstone. Developed for the Stage at Hickory Arts & Hickory Theatre.Track 10, “The Extra,” is an ode (a very bloviated ode) to musical theatre and a reminder that (in the immortal words of The Rolling Stones) “you can’t always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, well, you might find you get what you need.”
Nathan Crabtree delivers a showstopping performance, supported by his very own Greek chorus. Nathan, as “The Extra,” proves the smallest roles can pack the biggest punch.
The album will be available by summer on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and more. In the meantime, you can catch a sneak peek at the video for “The Extra.”
