Phil Barringer presented the Edna Bost Barringer Young Artist Award to Hickory Arts vocal coaching student Jacob Moore, a 16-year-old mandolin, banjo and fiddle player. Funds for United Arts Council grants come from the North Carolina Grassroots Arts Fund, Catawba County, City of Hickory, City of Newton, City of Claremont and the Town of Maiden. Additional funds are contributed by area corporations, foundations and individuals to the annual United Arts Fund campaign.
